Rivington and Blackrod High School was judged Good overall and in all areas following its most recent Ofsted inspection on 14 and 15 June 2023. This includes sixth form provision.

Rivington and Blackrod High School was also judged Good following its Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) in May 2023.
The report recognised the strength of relationships across the school, its Christian vision and the opportunities available to students through the curriculum and wider school life.
