Founded in the sixteenth century, our school has proudly served the local community for generations. While our rich heritage is an important part of who we are, we are equally focused on preparing young people for successful and fulfilling futures. We are committed to developing the whole child, securing excellent academic outcomes alongside a broad and enriching programme of personal development.

Our Christian ethos underpins everything we do and our RBHS values shape the culture of our school community. We strive to ensure that every student feels safe, valued and supported to thrive. Through high expectations, strong relationships and a wealth of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, we encourage all students to develop confidence, resilience and a sense of responsibility, enabling them to make a positive contribution to society.

Our prospectus offers a glimpse into life at Rivington and Blackrod High School and Sixth Form and will help you make an informed decision about your child’s secondary and post-16 education. However, nothing compares to experiencing our school in person. I warmly invite you and your family to visit us, meet our students and staff, and see first-hand the exceptional opportunities we provide to help every young person achieve their ambitions and realise their potential.
